Founded in 1996 under Alcoa ownership the primary purpose of FAC was to service Volvo with hollow core subframes. |
South Of NorwayBased in the very south of Norway, FAC has twice been nominated as casting company of the year, once in 2004 and again in 2010. A quarter of a million tonsSince its launch FAC has produced more than 3 million car sets of steering knuckles and more than 20 million castings in total. We have the capacity to produce around 3 million castings each year. FAC has consumed around a quarter of a million tons of high grade aluminium, all of it supplied in liquid form at 750 C directly from Alcoa's alloying furnace which is less than 200m from our factory gate.
